We’re proud to announce the newly pressed 1.2 of QCW! Contributions take on vampires (of course!), musical synaesthesia and connections to writing, a qualitative study of linguistic terms used to describe pop…or soda…or that fizzy stuff that everyone but vampires drink. Also included is a portfolio reflection in the form of a prezi, and a thoughtful essay on looking white and sounding black. Finally, our snapshot in this issue frames the banning of Harry Potter in a small Georgia town as an opportunity to reflect on the power and importance of critical literacy. Please forward to friends and colleagues and share with students! To navigate, start here or go to the Issues link above and select 1.2.
